About the OPMA

A Forum for Members

The OPMA was instituted in 1966 (as the Pharmaceutical Marketing Club of Ontario-PMCO), out of a need for pharmaceutical executives and suppliers to discuss issues affecting the pharmaceutical industry in Canada. It has provided an informal forum to network and an opportunity to socialize with peers over the last three decades.

The OPMA takes a proactive stance, providing a forum for information and education within the industry in Ontario. To achieve our mandate, the OPMA must, and will, continue to take a leading role in providing information and insight on many issues precipitating change within our industry.

Addressing Issues

The calibre of the speakers, at our monthly meetings, speaks to the OPMA's commitment to dealing with a range of issues. Please see our Past Meetings for an example of our wide diversity of speakers. The OPMA provides a true commitment to bringing you the issues that affect the industry today.

Responding to Needs

When the depth of an issue exceeds the time limits of a dinner meeting, expect it to be covered at one of the OPMA Continuing Education Breakfasts. Clinical Practice Guidelines, Emerging Pharmaceutical Customers and Negotiating Skills have all been explored in past OPMA Education Breakfasts. The quality of these sessions meets and exceeds seminars priced at many times the OPMA fee.

The OPMA invites you to join us!
